Canadian physicist interested in gravity and the quantum, specializing in quantum field theory in curved spacetime, analogue gravity, optomechanics, fluid dynamics, and quantum information theory. Currently developing theoretical and experimental techniques for quantum simulators of fundamental physics in analogue gravity systems, with focus on an ongoing international collaboration to detect the circular Unruh effect in an ultracold optomechanical analogue. In addition, designing and operating an acoustics experiment ("The Sonic Screwdriver Amplifier") to verify a novel reformulation of rotational superradiance.
