In late 2020, UK Research and Innovation invested £40 million in a Quantum Technologies for Fundamental Physics Programme (QTFP). The programme intends to exploit the developments in quantum technologies to solve some of the major research challenges facing the fundamental physics communities.

The programme is now halfway through its envisaged term and is seeking to build the community further, following exciting progress from the existing portfolio of awards.

The QTFP engagement event will highlight the progress of the awarded projects and explore further collaborations and opportunities, with speakers from across the QTFP programme.

There will be opportunities for building stronger networks across quantum sciences, quantum technologies and fundamental physics and to contribute to the wider QTFP community.

Planned sessions include:

  • plenary talks and posters from the currently funded projects

  • elevator pitches highlighting potential new areas of collaboration

  • quantum technologies parallel sessions

  • an early career researcher’s session

  • equality, diversity and inclusion

  • international collaboration

  • quantum outreach

  • knowledge exchange

  • This is a free event to attend with over 100 attendees already registered.
