In April 2025 Dr James Bailey and Ilaria Dimina were invited into Ladycross primary school to present to children in year 1 classes. This included discussions on what it’s like to be a scientist, how to become a scientist and the importance of diversity and creativity. The theme of this outreach activity was sound. This included giving the children hands on experience with a variety of acoustic experiments. They were also encouraged to ‘draw a scientist’, which resulted in a large array of exciting and colourful characters.
